The monthly journal of the Melbourne Unitarian Church, "The Beacon" is a most important activity. We print articles on Unitarianism and related subjects - both political and social - that are the concern of people today. Opinions expressed in The Beacon are not usually found in the daily papers. New subscribers are welcomed. The cost of an annual subscription is $20.00
This journal has been in print since the 1930's and has undertaken many changes, but what never changes is its role on presenting earthy down to earth articles on issues of concerns. Unitarians have a heritage of "fighting for the underdog" and we do not flinch from this. If you know of anyone who would like to have three free copies sent out on approval please forward their names and addresses to the church office. Many copies are available to hand out at meetings or on to others. Please remember also that The Beacon is very costly to print and post and financial donations (small or large) are most welcome. We look forward to receiving any letters/poems or articles you think may be useful to our Beacon Board.
The Beacon plays a pivotal role in our church and we are very proud of this. We have support, not only nation-wide but in many countries overseas. We thank continuously all Beacon readers who send in articles and letters. Please keep them coming. We welcome names and addresses from you for our three free Beacon list. This enables our Beacon membership to grow.
Content of The Beacon is determined by an editorial committee elected through the membership of the Church.
